Back in April, I had the amazing opportunity to photograph the Day family, and let me tell you, it was like nothing I've done before! They sent me some inspiration photos that were dark and moody, totally different from my usual vibrant and natural style. But hey, I love a challenge, and this one definitely gave me one!

First off, I had to learn how to create dark and moody presets just for this session. It was a fun little adventure, figuring out how to make the colors more muted and the overall vibe a bit more mysterious. It felt like stepping into a whole new world of photography, and I was excited to dive in.

When the Day family showed up for the shoot, I knew we were going to have a blast. They were totally into the spooky, moody vibe and we had so much fun experimenting with different poses and settings.

The pictures turned out amazing. The dark tones and muted colors gave the photos a unique and artistic feel. I was so thrilled with the final results!

As my own biggest critic, I’ve been hard on myself and hesitated to share these photos. But now, I’m finally ready to show them off. This experience has definitely opened up a new creative path for me. I’m hoping to use these dark and moody presets throughout the spooky season. Imagine all the cool, eerie photoshoots we can do leading up to Halloween!

So, a big shoutout to the Day family for pushing me out of my comfort zone and into this fun, moody adventure. I can't wait to see what other spooky and artistic photoshoots lie ahead!

If you’re ready for your own dark and moody session, or any other fun and creative shoot, let's chat! I’m always up for a new adventure with my camera.
